ABOUT US!!!
Maria and Andy Theodorou opened "The Drama Club" in October 2017 as a new theater space for classes, camps and all things "Theatre".
Both graduates of Pennsylvania's DeSales University, Andy and Maria are excited to bring their theater experience to Lower Bucks County at this unique new spot where young and old can celebrate their love of the performing arts.
Maria grew up in Bensalem and was very active in local theater. Her love of theater took her to DeSales University (formerly Allentown College of St. Francis DeSales) where she studied acting and directing. Maria has been back in Bensalem for over six years, after having lived in New York City where she sang in the pop/rock band, Hexa which toured through England, France, Belgium, and Amsterdam. Maria studied stand-up comedy at Caroline's Comedy Club and improv at UCB Theater.
Andy, a native of Easton, PA, also studied acting and directing at DeSales, where the two met. He is a theatre producer and the co-founder of Royal Family Productions, a nonprofit theatre company located in Times Square (currently producing Anthony Rapp's Without You). Aside from his theatre experience, Andy was the co-host of the radio show, Night People, on the world-renowned freeform station WFMU. Andy also formerly spent 15+ years as a preservation sound engineer for The New York Public Library's Preservation of Audio and Moving Image Labs.
